I didn't write a diary so let's see how many details I remember )

All in all it was a great trip. It was interesting being in countries where you don't understand anything of the language, and the first hour in each city you thought you were going to die from confusedness:P I don't have a favorite city, I liked Amsterdam for being able to understand stuff, Paris for it's Parisian cuteness and Prague for being quieter than Paris - we saw almost no beggars there (and none that were as pushy as Paris). Pictures will come soon. I am not sure how much money we spent total as we have to split the costs we paid together and wait for the mastercard bill.

I am trying to make my scout group's website. When I got my new computer I got a wide screen that uses 1440x900 resolution so some of my own pages look a little funky. I want to avoid that when designing new ones so I wanted to ask you, the typical internet user, what you use.

I've used check boxes so you can include both home, work and school computers.

Happy new year:)

I got up at 6:30 and was at work at 7:15. I was done at 11 and I was super hungry! On my way home I thought 'oooh, I can stop by Shell and get a hotdog'. So I did, but guess what? They didn't open until noon:( BOOOOOOOO!

I really wanted that hotdog since it was also fucking cold outside (I can't believe it's only -4, it feels -10). Grrrr.

Now I am off to cuddle with asleep warm naked hubby in bed:=)

Here's our ceremony, the finished product. We finished it 2 days before the wedding:p The ring promise we were gonna do got thrown out, because Betsy told us that day we were required to have something in there where we stated we took the other one as husband/wife. I'd asked about that before and people said it wasn't required. *shrug* Oh well, less to write:p

When we watched the recording the whole thing took about 8 minutes.

I feel all wedding-y still, and I want to post more about the day (like they do in [info]weddingplans. Oh no, I'm all corrupted now:p So I will post more later. Looks like we are not leaving the house today either:p

I have to go to a meeting tonight. Out at Fagernes where the class was last week. Urrgh. Still don't want to leave the house. Can't find anyone to go instead of me. The good thing is that a bus clicks with the start of the meeting and I don't have to leave until seven, but I still have to walk home. Tomorrow night Stephen has a meeting.

When it is time to wake up in Norway you go to sleep on the west coast, so we haven't been getting up until 2pm our two days here, it's just impossible to be awake at that time. Tomorrow I have to get up at 7 and go to work:(

Today we relaxed at home and went to my dad's house for dinner. The unpacking is done, but we need to reorganize the bookcases and stuff. The boy got his computer to work, she got a bit smashed on the plane (in the checked luggage) and I found speakers for him. He still needs a network cable to use the internet. Tomorrow we're going after work and dinner to pick up my dvd player that the store hacked while I was away so it plays both PAL and NTSC, and to look at a TV. Then we're heading for a scout meeting.

I think we have some time with the immigration stuff, I'm gonna call the licensing office tomorrow about something and give them the marriage certificate on tuesday. Maybe we can have everything done by friday. I also have to ask them if we really have to copy the whole passport (all the bloody pages, seems so unnecessary). We have the forms sort of OK but nothing copied yet.

I decided not to go to bed tonight (sleeping 2-3:30 isn't gonna work) but rather take that nap. So I laid down around 7:30, as soon as I fell asleep someone called, but my cell went out of battery before I could see who. Went back to bed and a bit later my sister rings the doorbell. I talk to her a bit, give her my webcam that she wants and go back to bed. After a while someone calls my landline. My feet are asleep and I don't reach the phone in time. It was probably my sister who didn't get the camera to work. I check that my alarm is ok and go back to sleep. My two hours of scheduled sleep before the boy's lunch date are now one hour, maybe less, and I haven't slept a bit.

I wake up, feeling that I have slept a while. Look at the time, it is over an hour later than when I was suppose to get up. Crap. Why didn't I hear the alarm? The boy has been home on time, and had left 10 minutes before I woke up. I can tell by his moping on aim that he wishes I would have been there. Now he is working overtime, and isn't done until I have left. I don't know if his work email still works because this is his last day. So only text message communication until I see him.

So it's almost midnight, I got about 5 hours left. Haven't done any packing today. I sort of started yesterday. I also should clean my bathroom but lack of want-to has put that off all week:p I guess I should start packing then, before I woke up I had a dream about not being packed when I had to leave.

Two hours ago I finally became old enough to buy alcohol for my own wedding in the US:p

My dad has warned me that they might show up tonight. I have 3 chairs and no table. I made a chocolate cake yesterday but realized later that I don't have a cake plate or a 'kakespade'. I put the cake on a dinner plate instead, there is 1.5cm of plate around the cake:p

10 days left of long distance relationship ever!! (Except if we can't find a college that has both our studies or someone gets kicked out of a country, but we aren't planning on it:p)

We're listening to P4 (radiostation) online at work today. Internet is being slow or something, because the songs slow down occasionally and the singer's voice get all dark. It sounds ridiculous.

I also baked oatmeat raisin cookies (yay I can now successfully bake american cookies:)) and brought some of them and a few snickerdoodles to work. They were a big hit.

It's fucking cold outside:/

The rest of the world might not know this, but a couple of weeks ago a Norwegian dude with foreign background was attacked and beaten in a park in Oslo. It was bad. An ambulance was called but they left the scene without taking the injured man with them.

WTF? Yes, the entire Norway is saying this right now, the newspapers write about the still existing racism in government departments and a lot about who is to blame. The guy had a skull fracture and was in a coma for over 2 weeks, he's slowly waking up now. The two ambulance workers are taken off work while they investigate.

So people are mad. But what does some of them do? They call 113 (911) and yell at the paramedics there for being racist! They cut in front of an ambulance on a mission in traffic and slow him down! How the hell is this gonna make the situation better? By making it hard for them to help other people?

When did we lose our brains??

Back
I'm back. Lost one night of sleep (3am bus from the camp) so I am completely knocked out, wasn't myself when I got to Narvik. Got Jamboritis too (contagious jamboree cold) which makes me feel even more crappy. Also got an ear that hasn't adjusted to ground air pressure yet and won't because of my freaking cold!:( At least it doesn't hurt so bad anymore. Today was the first time I was actually nervous about flying, because on my first plane the landing process hurt like fuck for my ears.

I know I haven't written much but I will. It was awesome! I made some very good friends, one especially good one, and it was strange to say goodbye and know we were most likely never gonna meet again.

The world is not big at all. I have lots of those stories.

And I am totally going to the next one in 2011! :p

And I haven't started packing yet! I had big plans to get out of bed at 9ish this morning, but that didn't happen. I don't know what it is, but all the 5 non-work days I have spent down there I have failed to get out of bed before noon-ish. It's like nothing awaits me up there (even though there are lots of things). Meh. Anyways, I have bought all the stuff I need, and written down a list, so when I get home I just have to throw everything in the backpack. I left the house at 11:45 this morning and it is 8pm now and I have been out since. I am currently waiting for the boy, his lunch break is 1.5 hours late now because of a problem that can't be fixed (man, he must be unbelievably frustrated by now, poor boy).

I looked at my airline's website for the baggage rules. The scout people bought my ticket from Oslo to London, and they will pay me back for my planeticket to Oslo. But because of departure times I have to wait in Oslo for 6 hours, and fly two different airlines. Because of all the flying safety mess they have craazy baggage restrictions. On SAS from Narvik to Oslo I get 20kg baggage + 8kg hand baggage + purse. On Norwegian from Oslo to Stanstead I get 20kg baggage + 15kg hand baggage + no purse. And Norwegian freak out a lot more on too heavy luggage. They also have a 74% on-time rate today, and that makes me really excited about flying with them:p Even though SAS have strikes a lot, they are at least nice and helpful. With all the Norwegian mess in the news lately I wonder what crap they will throw at me. Sigh. Traveling was suppose to be fun...

No reply from the boy, he might be on his way home now:=)

My job on the Jamboree is in the World Villages. That is where all the countries are represented with games and food and exhibitions and stuff. My job might change but that is where I am placed right now.

The weather in that part of England is about 20 celcius and mostly rain. I am thinking Roskilde-wet and muddy, and I have prepared myself with lots and lots of plastic bags. I wish I could bring one of those military beds to get up from the ground in case the tent turns into a puddle. I talked to a girl on Facebook about sharing a tent, she was gonna fix one since she lives closer to Oslo and the container they shipped some stuff in. Last time I talked to her she had set us up in a bigger tent with some other people. I'm hoping there will be room for us so I don't end up homeless:p

I'm planning to take the express train in to Oslo and walk around for a bit, unless I explore Gardermoen city a bit. The express train costs €20 each way (yikes). (Yay, the boy is home, and he is loveydovey today). Maybe I'll go and chill at a nearby lunch place instead (NOT in the airport, been there too much). Stress and be busy I can do at the jamboree. Maybe I can finally finish my Nick Hornby book.

I'll try and update from the jamboree. See you guys later:=)

I took Mannfred (my laptop) down to the apartment yesterday so I could play in photoshop if I got bored, and also check if any neighbours had open wireless networks I could steal. One of them did:=) But it only works if I sit in the window (bloody basements) and it isn't very stable, so I'll go back to my dad's house soon to talk to the boy.

After not having a productive morning (staying in bed past noon) I cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed the house and emptied the last box! There's only one box left now, with the boy's DVD movies. I need to find a rack for them and mine. I opened his computer that he shipped for me in june. His computer mouse was a bit whacked, and he was sad when I told him that last night, so I am not looking forward to telling him about Sylvanas and how she survived the trip.... (I swear he loves her more than he loves me...) There's minimal damage, the chassis (does americans use that word for the 'computer box'?) has a bulk and the front is loose. But she will be fine. I changed her voltage settings, and found an adapter for the screen and plugged her in. No explosion! The fan made some yucky noises but it got better eventually. She's running like she should.

He took off pretty much all his stuff, but left me a couple of GBs of porn as a gift. Now that is love:P

Off I go. I really should stop by my mom. I've been such a bad daughter lately:(

I ordered my phone line to be installed by the 9th when I get back from England. I got a message back that a person would be over between 8 and 16 on the 16th to install it. One - that is a long wait, and two - the wires are there, don't they just have to activate it? I'm trying to get in touch with them again so if the dude have to come they can install internet at the same time. But it is friday after 4pm so I won't get a reply before monday.

And I realized something the other day - I have moved out so I am not covered on my family's travel insurance. Good thing I remembered it now so I can get it fixed on monday.

After working at scancell for a year I finally nagged about work clothes and protective shoes and I went today and picked them out. But the store only had huge man clothes, so they have to order mine. I love that there's another girl working in the stock room now (Line started 2 weeks ago, she's maybe in her 30s? I haven't asked). After 4 years with boys only I am about to go insane.

England has rain and thunder and crap, and occasionally sunny. It's gonna be two very wet weeks....

4 days away, I am excited:)

I've had dinner at my dad's house all week. Yesterday he picked me up from work and we went kitchen table hunting. I found one, and a dresser and a laundry basket. I finished putting together the TV table and I put up curtains in the kitchen window. The TV table instruction sheet was fucked up, it showed a LOT of the pieces with both the holes that was gonna face up and down, so we (my sister and I) had no clue what way to have the piece. In the end only one of the pieces were upside down, but nothing that we can't improvise with some glue. It has the funniest thing at the beginning of the book, it was too good not to be taken a picture of.

Not One People! )

I still don't have a couch, I don't know if I want to spend 10 000kr ($1500) on a couch that we won't take with us when we (probably) move back to the States in about 5 years. And I don't know exactly where I can place my bookcase until I know the length of the couch so my stuff are in boxes still. I picked up my dresser today and I'm going to assemble it tonight, so I can take my underwear away from the big pile on the floor. I got the big top mattress yesterday and I slept in the big bed last night. It's wider than all the beds I've slept in before. The only thing missing is him. 59 days....

And I don't have a landline or internet, haven't even booked it. Can't decide if I want to go Telenor or Tele2. One of the reasons I come here after work for dinner is so I can talk to the boy on skype afterwards:p

Work today sucked. I left early yesterday because the store closed early, so I went in at 7 today. Woke up at 6 this morning and when 9 rolled along I got so unbelievably tired. Once I sat down I almost fell asleep. Eyes wouldn't stay up. And there was nothing to do, so most of what I did was sit down. And the coffee machine was out of espresso shots so no caffeine for me:(

Moved all my stuff over during the weekend, and I spent my first night there last night. The 25 minute walk to work isn't that bad at all. I have almost no furniture yet so all my stuff are still in boxes on the floor. Was gonna go look at stuff today, but all the stores close at 16:30, so there was no time. I'll have to go into work early tomorrow and leave at three.

At my dad's house we have 4 extra 90x200 beds, so instead of buying a new big bed I am taking two of those and getting a 180x200 top mattress to make it seem like a big bed. I've always hated the Norwegian Way with separate mattresses and duvet comforters (you're suppose to be all snuggly under the covers together!) but this will do for now. Then we have over $1000 to spend on something else that might come up, like the wedding.

Today I am gonna:

- Pick up package at the post office
- Go buy a top mattress and a TV/multimedia table
- Go to europris and get cheap household items
- Go to Rema and buy food.
- Maybe try and hook up Sylvanas

Apartment pictures. I am too tired to edit the code and post them here.

I moved the stove/washer/fridge/freezer today, as well as 12 boxes of mine. It's all standing on the floor there. I took more pictures, but you'll get them tomorrow or some time. I'll move more boxes and furniture tomorrow. And I need to hook up electricity to the storage room so I can have my freezer there. The landlords are going on vacation for a week tomorrow, so I guess I will be freezerless until they get back.

I thought it was 21 degrees here these days but it is 28. No wonder we are dying.
